Rosenthal Receives Sloan Foundation Fellowship

Meredith Rosenthal
Meredith Rosenthal, assistant professor of health economics and policy in the Department of Health Policy and Management, was one of four young scholars to receive a Sloan Industry Studies Fellowship from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The fellowship provides support and recognition to junior faculty from a wide variety of academic disciplines-economics, management, engineering, political science, and related or interdisciplinary areas. The Fellows were selected from among 37 highly qualified scholars in the early stages of their careers on the basis of their exceptional promise to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, and to U.S. industrial development and economic competitiveness. Each fellow will receive a grant of $45,000 for a two-year period. Rosenthal will focus on the managed care industry.
