She has also been elected to a second term on APHA’s Governing Council. Students Visit WHO to Explore Career Paths

Forty-eight HSPH students traveled to the World Health Organization (WHO) office at the United Nations (UN) in New York in December to meet officials.

"We wanted to expose students, particularly those interested in international health, to careers at WHO and the UN," said Peter Crudele of Career Services, who assisted Betsy Weissel in organizing the trip.

The students met representatives of the Director-General, Health Policy group, ‘Africa Health’ projects, Millennium Development Goals group, Inter-Agency Relations and the UN Development Group Office.
