Hand Cleanser Dispensers Installed throughout School

As winter descends on Boston, hand-soap dispensers have been installed beside elevators throughout the main HSPH complex, as well as around School offices at Landmark Center and on Tremont Street. The automatic dispensers discharge antiseptic cleansers that evaporate quickly, avoiding the need for toweling. Ingredients in the cleansers will be posted to avoid allergic reactions.

Antiseptic wipes have been made available near public payphones and campus phones at the School. They also can be found in the Microlabs for swiping keyboards.

"This is a simple effort to make our hard-working School community more comfortable as the cold weather brings inevitable runny noses and teary eyes," said Paul Riccardi, dean for administration and operations.

M2 Shuttle to Incorporate Stops Near Landmark Center

Starting February 1, the M2 shuttle route will include a stop near Landmark Center to accommodate Harvard employees and students working and studying there. The shuttle from Vanderbilt Hall to Harvard Square will go down Longwood Ave., make a right onto Brookline Ave., and stop at the Emmanuel College bus shelter at the top of Brookline Ave. before the Fenway, near Landmark Center. The shuttle will then move up Boylston St. to the overpass and back to the regular route. The shuttle from Harvard Square to Vanderbilt Hall will stop at the Fenway T Station.

Exceptions to these revised routes are M2 shuttles that stop at Coolidge Corner, which will not make the new stops. MASCO will print revised schedules and post signs in shuttles.

The change was prompted by recommendations made by HSPH employees to the Great Place to Work suggestion box, available at http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/gptw.
