Ice Cream Party for HSPH Members in July

"Scoop Fest," the school’s annual summer celebration, will take place on Friday, July 11 at 3 p.m. in the Kresge courtyard. All HSPH members are invited to indulge in ice cream, with all of the fixins’.

The event is hosted by the deans of the school.

In case of rain, the event will be held in the Kresge cafeteria.

Manson Named to New Chair Established at BWH

JoAnn Manson, professor in the Department of Epidemiology and chief, Division of Preventive Medicine, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), is the first appointee of a newly announced chair at the hospital.

The establishment of the Elizabeth F. Brigham professorship on women’s health at BWH, funded by the hospital, was announced in April.

New Taxi/Shuttle Service Schedule Announced

The Harvard Longwood Campus courtesy taxi/shuttle service has announced a new schedule. Effective Monday, July 7, service will be every 30 minutes at the top and bottom of the hour, beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at midnight, each day of the week. The service will take riders to Ruggles Station, Kenmore Square, and the Longwood T stop (D Line).

Special Friday and Saturday Night Owl Service will be available to Kenmore Square only, 12:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., every 30 minutes at the top and bottom of the hour.

Vouchers to use this service are issued at the Security Desks at the FXB Building and at Vanderbilt Hall, 107 Avenue Louis Pasteur. A valid Harvard ID is needed.
