The event recognized employees who had reached the following anniversaries during the 2004-2005 academic year: five, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years or more.

Especially honored for their long-term service were Jean Joseph, Department of Population and International Health (35 years); Michelle Mackenzie, Department of Population and International Health (35 years); Thomas Graboys, Department of Nutrition (30 years); and Henry Wechsler, Department of Society, Human Development, and Health (43 years).

Honorees received the following items in recognition of their work: watches (25 years or more of service); engraved crystal globes (20 years); engraved clocks (15 years); engraved pencil-and-pen sets (10 years); and HSPH mugs, caps, and electronic calculator/clock/calendar units (five years).

The Deanna Paquet Jazz Quartet-named for its lead singer, who is also a staff member in Academic Affairs-performed several songs, opening the event with a rendition of "To Sir With Love." The original song was sung by Lulu.
