Former French Supreme Court Justice Explains Europeans' Cautious Response to Genetically Modified Foods

Bernard Kouchner, France’s colorful Minister of Health, will speak on "Access to Care as a Global Challenge" on Thursday May 17 in Snyder Auditorium from 2 to 3:30 p.m. He will also speak on "Peace Building: The Kosovo Experience" on Wednesday, May 16 at the Science Center, Hall C (corner of Oxford and Kirkland Streets in Cambridge) at 5:30 p.m. The events are sponsored by the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights and the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research.

Kouchner was the former UN Administrator for Kosovo. In 1971, he co-founded Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
