Jee Young Kim, doctoral candidate in the Department of Environmental Health, will present her thesis defense, "Acute Airway Responses in Workers Exposed to Metal-Containing Particulates," on Friday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. in Kresge G-2.

Sherine Rebecca Brown, PhD candidate in the Program in Biological Sciences in Public Health, will present her thesis defense, "The APOA1-CIII-AIV Gene Cluster: Effects on Acute and Long-Term Lipoprotein Responses to High Saturated Fat Diets," on Tuesday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. in FXB G-13.

Christopher Nicolas Mores, doctoral candidate in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases, will present his thesis defense, "Perpetuation of Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis Virus," on Wednesday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. in FXB-301.

Pauline Koh-Banerjee, doctoral candidate in the Department of Nutrition, will take her oral examination on Thursday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. in SPHII-317. Major: nutrition; minors: epidemiology and biostatistics. Graham Colditz will chair the examination committee.

Susan Mary Thomas, doctoral candidate in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases, will present her thesis defense, "Analysis of the Mismatch Repair System and the Drug Resistance Phenotype of Plasmodium Falciparum," on Friday, May 10 at 9:00 a.m. in SPH1-717.

Ana Baylin, doctoral candidate in the Department of Nutrition, will present her thesis defense, "Adipose Tissue Fatty Acids and Risk of Myocardial Infarction," on Friday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m. in FXB G-12.

David Rich, doctoral candidate in the Departments of Environmental Health and Epidemiology, will take his oral examination on Friday, May 10, at 2:30 p.m. in Kresge, 9th floor, Epidemiology Library. Majors: epidemiology and environmental health; minor: biostatistics. Paul Catalano will chair the examination committee.

Chen-Chang Yang, doctoral candidate in the Department of Epidemiology, will present his thesis defense, "Predictors of Drug Utilization and Certain Pharmacological Effects of Lipid-Lowering Drugs in the United Kingdom," on Tuesday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m. in FXB G-13.

Stephen Lister Lake, doctoral candidate in the Department of Biostatistics, will present his thesis defense, "The Genetic Dissection of Complex Trails: Tests of Genetic Association and Gene-Environment Interaction," on Thursday, May 16 at 12:30 p.m. in FXB G-12.
