Open Enrollment for Benefits Selection Begins

HSPH faculty and staff may make changes to their benefits choices and elect a flexible spending account from October 30 to November 13.

Changes to benefits can only be made by calling the automated "Choice" telephone line listed in information packets being mailed to employees. The phone line is open from 7 a.m. to midnight every day of the enrollment period.

The University’s medical plan options are mostly unchanged for 2003, and include four HMO plans, four point-of-service plans, and a Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan for employees who reside out of state.

There will be a benefits fair at The Inn at Longwood Medical, 342 Longwood Avenue, on Thursday, November 7 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Representatives from the following will be on hand: Benefits Services Group, Medical and Dental Plans, Tax-Deferred Account Organizations, Office of Work and Family, Outings and Innings, Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, Harvard University Retirees’ Association, discount car/home insurance vendors, and discount mortgage vendors.

Benefits changes must be made by Wednesday, November 13.
