Send Materials to APHA Meeting

The 132nd American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Exposition will be held in Washington, DC from Saturday, November 6 to Wednesday, November 10. The Admissions Office sponsors a booth each year in the exhibition hall to showcase the work done at HSPH and to promote the pursuit of graduate and professional studies to participants.

School members planning on presenting at APHA, are requested to e-mail knoonan@hsph.harvard.edu with their name, title, and the presentation/session date and title. A list will be displayed at the HSPH exhibit booth.

Additionally, members of the HSPH community are invited to provide the Admissions Office with materials to be shared with participants at the APHA meeting. All materials must be submitted to Kerri Noonan, assistant director, Admissions Office, Room G-4, Kresge Building no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 15. All materials will be shipped directly from the Admissions Office. Please provide no more than 50 copies per pamphlet or booklet and no more than 100 copies of one-page sheets.

Volunteers Needed for "Buddy Program" for New Employees

The Department Administrators Leadership Council and the HSPH Great Place to Work Committee are organizing a "Buddy Program."

The intent of the program is to provide new employees with an opportunity to establish peer relationships within the school in order to facilitate assimilation.

To learn more about the program, attend an informational session on Wednesday, October 6 in Kresge 110 from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. RSVP to edruiz@hsph.harvard.edu.

New MBTA Pass Program Online

Current MBTA pass holders may enroll online at http://www.commuterchoice.harvard.edu for a new program that allows passes to be mailed directly to home addresses. People who register by October 1 will have their November passes mailed to them. Payments will be made through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Passes for the month of October still need to be picked up at the Longwood Medical Area Parking Office.
