Benefits Open Enrollment Period to Begin

Benefits Open Enrollment for all employees runs from October 27 to November 10. Employees will have the opportunity to review their current benefits elections and change or discontinue their enrollment in various benefits, including medical and dental coverage, long-term disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.

Open Enrollment this year will be done online. By going to HARVie (http://harvie.harvard.edu) and clicking on the Open Enrollment button, employees can:

• View a personalized online statement outlining their benefits choices

• Make changes to their benefits

• Review the benefits enrollment guide, which provides details about Harvard’s benefits

Employees can also call the Harvard Choices phone center (1-800-224-0326) to make a change; please note that this phone is not an automated system, but a live operator.

Prior to Open Enrollment, all employees will get a personalized worksheet at home with a special password and instructions for using the online site. Anyone who has moved can update a home address by going to HARVie and selecting first PeopleSoft, then Self-Service. For more information about Harvard’s benefits plans, please go to HARVie or contact the benefits providers directly. Harvard University Group Health Plan (HUGHP), a health coverage plan sponsored by Harvard University Health Services, will be holding an open house for employees on October 26 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 75 Mt. Auburn Street, second floor.
