Flu Shots for High-Risk People

Harvard University Health Services has been given a limited amount of flu vaccine at this time to vaccinate high-risk individuals only. Vaccine will be offered to others at a later date when available. The CDC has set guidelines for determining who is at high risk, including:

• People ages 65 and over

• People ages two to 64 with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, and asthma

• Pregnant women

• Health care workers who provide direct patient care

To see if you fall into the high-risk category and to set up an appointment, call the Flu Info Hot line at 617-496-2288.

High-risk clinics are being held at University Health Services in Holyoke Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. As soon as Health Services receives more vaccine, they will hold flu clinics at the Huntington Ave. Buildings at HSPH and at Landmark Center.
