Dean's Distinguished Lecture: "Demographic Forecasting: Incorporating Qualitative Insight into Quantitative Modeling" Thursday, September 29 Appointments and Promotions
Eduardo Villamor has been appointed Assistant Professor of International Nutrition in the Department of Nutrition. He was formerly an instructor in that department. Carolyn Everette has been named Associate Dean for Human Resources. She was formerly Assistant Dean for Human Resources at the School. Tomorrow: Road Race to Benefit Puddingstone Park HSPH members are invited to participate in the Annual Mission Hill Road Race to benefit the neighborhood's newest attraction, Pudding-stone Park. The race is tomorrow, September 17. Registration is at Puddingstone Park (behind the Stop & Shop at Brigham Circle) from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on race day, and the fee is $15. Free parking is available. Mayor Thomas Menino will present medals to the top division finishers along with the first annual "Pudding Pot" to the college or university with the largest number of volunteers and runners in the road race. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Demography of Aging The Program on the Global Demography of Aging at HSPH is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in economic change and economic growth. The fellow will work directly with HSPH Professors David Bloom and David Canning. Applicants should have a recent PhD in economics and a strong background in macroeconomics, economic growth, and econometrics. The deadline is November 17.
