Exams and Defenses

Ping (Kathryn) Ruan, doctoral student in the Department of Biostatistics, HSPH and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, will present her dissertation defense, "Methodology for Failure Time Data with Missing Cause of Failure or Dependent Censoring," on Friday, September 2 in Building 2, Room 426, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Kerith Conron, doctoral student in the Department of Society, Human Development, and Health, will take her oral exam on Tuesday, September 6 in Building 3 (Kresge) 708 at 3:00 p.m. Major: Psychiatric Epidemiology. Minor1: Social Epidemiology. Minor2: Quantitative Methods. Lisa Berkman will chair.

Suzanne Eleanor Szwarc, doctoral student in the Department of Biostatistics, HSPH and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, will present her dissertation defense, "Statistical Models for Fertility-Related Issues in Adjuvant Treatment for Breast Cancer," on Wednesday, September 7 in Building 2, Room 426, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Sonia Jain, doctoral student in the Department of Society, Human Development, and Health, will take her oral exam on Thursday, September 8 in Building 3 (Kresge) 708 at 3:00 p.m. Major: Social Determinants of Health. Minor 1: Child and Adolescent Development. Minor 2: Quantitative and Qualitative Methods. Stephen Buka will chair.

Freeman Changamire, doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition, will take his oral exam on Friday, September 16 in Building 2, Room 317, at 10:30 a.m. Major: Nutrition. Minor 1: Epidemiology. Minor 2: Biostatistics. Wafaie Fawzi will chair.
