The Heathier Food Guide Pyramid: From Science to Practice

The Heathier Food Guide Pyramid: From Science to Practice

Launched in 1992, the USDA's Food Guide Pyramid is scheduled to be revised. How should this new Pyramid look based on science? This timely forum brings together scientists, policy makers, dietitians and food service directors to discuss the building and implementation of a Healthier Food Guide Pyramid. The first session will feature researchers who will be presenting the scientific basis of the proposed changes with responses from scientific colleagues in the Greater Boston area. The second session will feature "doers" who have successfully achieved some of these proposed healthier recommendations.
