Program Achievements

American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC) Awards

Every year Occupational Medicine residents compete for about 5 Resident Research Awards. The recipients present their research and receive a monetary prize at the American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC). The AOHC is the major annual meeting of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), the world’s largest organization of occupational and environmental physicians. HSPH residents have consistently won a large proportion of these awards as exemplified by the recent winners recognized below:

Dr. Stefanos Kales (OEMR ’93)
2019 Robert C. Johns Research Partnership Award presented at the Center for Transportation Studies Annual Meeting on February 20, 2019 at the University of Minnesota. This award is presented annually for achievement of significant impacts on field of transportation and was given for work done on the project “Exploring Links between Medical Conditions and Safety Performance in Tractor Trailer Drivers”.
