PGDA Post-Doctoral Fellows
SEBASTIAN LINNEMAYR
PGDA Fellow 2007-2009
My research focuses on health and population issues, in particular relating to developing countries. I have participated in the design and execution of field experiments as well as projects based on secondary data analysis in countries such as Senegal, South Africa, and India. Some of my current projects focus on investigating the demographic impact of HIV on fertility, how social groups affect the fertility decision of women, and how conflicts contribute to the spread of HIV. Another project revolves around measuring the demand for old-age social security and the implementation of such policies in developing countries.
I will start working as an Associate Economist at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica starting August 2009.
