HSPH-EPREP provides public, private, and non-governmental organizations with the expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies of all types. The program convenes public health, healthcare, first-responders and other organizations to offer practice-based education, exercise and evaluation activities centered on public health emergency preparedness.
The leaders of EPREP have been operating at HSPH since 2002, and HSPH emergency preparedness program activities have trained more than 33,000 students and conducted more than 130,000 hours of simulations and exercises.
EPREP has worked with partners at the local, regional, state, and federal level to develop mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery strategies. We have developed custom programs and tools to be used both during emergencies and in non-emergency situations. Most recently, EPREP developed a toolkit for hospitals to create, practice and review their own evacuation plans.
