GHP’s Global Health Week 2024

International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo in 1994

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) that was held in Cairo, the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is focusing this year’s Global Health Week on the status of the agenda items set at ICPD, as well as issues that have developed since that time including climate change and LGBTQ rights.

Kobayashi wins best poster by postdoc & research associate at Harvard Chan Poster Day

Congratulations to Harvard Bell Fellow Lindsay Kobayashi on winning Best Poster in the Best Postdoc and Research Associates category at this year’s Harvard Chan School Poster Day event. This poster was also presented at the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics meeting in July, 2017, and the abstract was published in Innovation in Aging.

Lisa Berkman to receive CAWF Mentoring Award from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Subramanian on steering committee of new, interdisciplinary PhD program at Harvard Chan School

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health has announced its plans to launch a new PhD program in Population Health Sciences, with the first cohort expected to enter in Fall 2016. Harvard Pop Center faculty member SV Subramanian (Subu), PhD, will sit on the steering committee that will administer the interdepartmental program involving the Departments of Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Global Health and Population, Nutrition, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
