Training in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics

Groundbreaking research and discovery in the life sciences in the 21st century are more interdisciplinary than ever. To expedite scientific advances in the "omics" era, it is critical to train the next generation of quantitative health science students who are strong in biostatistics/statistical genetics, computational biology, molecular biology and genetic epidemiology, and who have enough basic knowledge that they can easily communicate and work with colleagues who have complementary areas of expertise.

Domestic and international students who are interested in PhD training in quantitative genomics can enroll in the same training program offered to the trainees on the Joint Interdisciplinary Reasearch Training Grant in Biostatistics and Computational Biology.

Students can also apply to the new Master of Science in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics, offered jointly offered with the Department of Biostatistics and the Department of Epidemiology.
