Maine Head Start

The Maine HPRC propose will research, develop, and test
evidence-based early childhood provider interventions in
collaboration with the Head Start program and Healthy Maine
Partnerships Coalition in York County. The goals are to measurably:
1) Improve physical activity and nutrition (PAN) Knowledge, attitudes,
skills and behavior among childcare workers; 2) Improve PAN patterns
at childcare centers; 3) Improve coordination between providers,
clinicians, and families with overweight children; and, 4) Help
families change behaviors in the home that contribute to
overweight in children.
