Career Incubator Fund

Applications are CLOSED for the 2015 Career Incubator Fund (CIF). The next award cycle will be announced in the Fall of 2016.

The Harvard Chan School Career Incubator Fund (CIF) is designed to encourage and support the scientific career development of Chan School Assistant and Associate Professors on the tenure ladder. To advance this goal, we solicit proposals for (a) Pilot Projects, or (b) Data Collection/Analysis Projects that will provide faculty the opportunity to develop their research ideas, collect pilot data, or conduct secondary data analysis to be used as pilot data. Although not required, we are particularly interested in proposals that are interdisciplinary in nature. The program is intended to maximize faculty competitiveness for extramural funding by allowing faculty to develop innovative and novel ideas/methods.

Deadline (Extended): Monday December 14, 2015 at 5:00pm

Submission requirements: An electronic (PDF) copy of application in ONE document (materials to include in your application are listed below)
Submit to: Office of Research Strategy and Development (ORSD), orsd@hsph.harvard.edu
Contact regarding questions: Leigh Melanson at lmelanson@hsph.harvard.edu or 617-432-1774

Primary Chan School Assistant and Associate Professors who are within 3-8 years of initial appointment are eligible to apply. Competitive renewal applications will not be accepted from previous Career Incubator Fund awardees.
