Hello! Welcome to my webpage...

My name is Ellen Brooks Pollock and I am a postdoctoral researcher employed on the U19 grant studying the emergence of multi-drug resistant TB in humans. I am working with Ted Cohen and Megan Murray.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Maths and Biology. I am interested in mathematical descriptions of biological phenomena. I like to use any mathematical techniques I can lay my hands on, including, but not limited to: stochastic simulations, simpler ODE models, statistical model fitting, and ideas from complex networks.

I did my PhD at the University of Warwick with Matt Keeling. We were using data on cattle movements to incorporate spatial structure into epidemic models. I became particularly keen on the problem of bovine TB in cattle.
