The Investigator 2-D Electrophoresis System is a complete system that includes:

  • Large format electrophoresis tank 
  • Power supply
  • Chiller
  • The system's large format 23 x 23-cm gels allow excellent resolving power.
  • Peltier-based chiller can be used for the first dimension IPG strips and second dimension running tank. Temperature variations anywhere in the chamber are less than 0.5° C.
  • The dedicated power supply is specifically designed for high performance 2-D electrophoresis.
The Proteome Systems IsoelectricIQ2 is an apparatus well-designed for protein separation based on different pI values:
  • This multi-compartment electrolyzer (MCE) fractionates complex protein samples based on their isoelectric (pI) points. 
  • This is achieved through IPG strips, which use a series of surface modified microporous membranes of defined pH assembled to form a series of chambers into which proteins migrate according to their pI under the influence of an electric field.
