Guidlines and Tips for using proteomics services from HPR
- Before setting up an experiment, carefully read the section on Experimental Procedures.
- Schedule an appointment to discuss your project by contacting proteomic@hsph.harvard.edu or (617) 432-1737.
- Obtain sample preparation instructions and sample buffers optimized for your application from the facility.
- Download and fill out the Sample Submission form.
- Drop off/mail your samples to the HPR lab.
- Schedule an appointment for results analysis.
Our Mode of Operations
Ordinarily, we accept samples for analysis Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. There is no way for us to predict the number of projects we will have to run per week, so we caution users that your sample may take up to a few weeks to process. PLEASE keep that in mind.
Each sample arriving at the facility will be entered into our database, and stored at sub-zero temperature (unless indicated to keep at other conditions) until ready for analysis. Samples without a completed sample submission form can not be accepted. We strongly encourage our users to assist us when they are interested in learning our proteomics technologies. This is both a service and an instructional facility.
