Guidlines and Tips for using Proteomics services at HSPH
- Before setting up an experiment, carefully read the section on Experimental Procedures.
- Schedule an appointment with Alexander Ivanov, (Phone: 432-4380) to discuss your project.
- Obtain sample preparation instructions WORD / PDF .
- Download and fill out the Sample Submission form WORD / PDF.
- Drop off or mail your samples to the Proteomics facility.
Ordinarily, we accept samples for analysis Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The sample is detained, digested overnight, and then put in queue for the mass spec and database search. Please be aware that results for samples submitted for mass spec analysis can be expected to take between two and five weeks depending of where they enter our processing cycle.
Each sample arriving at the facility will be entered into our database, and stored at -70 degrees Celsius until ready for analysis. Samples without a completed sample submission form cannot be accepted. We strongly encourage our users to assist Alexander Ivanonv if they are interested in learning our mass spec technologies. This is both a service and an instructional facility.
