Child Health and Development In the 21st Century, September 26, 2006

 

Child health and development in the 21st century is the theme of our celebratory symposium, September 26, 2006, to honor the 90th birthday, life and work of Dr. Julius Richmond, and to launch the newly established, university-wide Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University.

Dr. Julius Richmond s distinguished career spans over 60 years of leadership in government, academia, and medicine. His life's work has embodied a brilliant synthesis of scholarship, policy, and practice in the service of advancing the health and development of children in the U.S. and throughout the world. He has trained a legion of medical students and graduate students across many disciplines and he has had an incalculable impact on generations of caring physicians.

This special event was held September 26, 2006 at the Harvard Club, 374 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston.
