Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics

 

The Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) seeks outstanding candidates for a position of assistant or associate professor of biostatistics. This is a tenure-ladder position, with the academic rank to be determined in accordance with the successful candidates’ experience and productivity.

The new faculty member will focus on methodological and collaborative statistical research motivated by biomedical collaborations in the areas of environmental health and/or comparative effectiveness research. Relevant areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to, quantitative methods for high-dimensional data, novel analytic and computational methods for analyzing large databases, causal inference, and statistical methods for comparing the effectiveness of treatments and/or public health interventions. A strong track record in the pursuit of innovative methodological research is required. Candidates are required to have a doctorate or terminal degree in biostatistics, statistics, computer science, or allied fields by the time the appointment begins.
