We are excited to see everyone next week at the 2016 Forum and Nano Course Series on Population Health Equity. The Nano Course Series, taking place Monday, October 17, 2016, and the Forum, set for Tuesday, October 18 – Wednesday, October 19, 2016, are being hosted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with generous support from the Aetna Foundation.

REGISTRATION
Registration is free-of-charge, and includes all events and program materials. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served on both days of the Forum. You may register online here (URL: https://harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cIQg8Tl5lSXBwH3) for the Nano Course Series and the Forum until Monday, October 17, 2016, 5:00 p.m. EST. Dual Nano Course Series/Forum Registrants
Participants registered for both the Nano Course and the Forum do not need to check in twice. Dual registrants who pick up their credentials for the Nano Course are also considered registered for the Forum through Wednesday afternoon.

NANO COURSE PROGRAM: MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2016
This year’s Forum will be preceded by the Nano Course Series on Population Health Equity, on Monday, October 17, 2016, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each of the six (6) intensive pre-conference trainings will focus on a single specific population health equity topic. Taught by a faculty of international experts, the Nano Course sessions include:

Note about Dual Nano Course/Forum Registration
While you are not required to register for the Forum in order to participate in the Nano Course Series, dual registration is highly recommended to maximize your learning experience. Dual Nano Course/Forum attendees who check in on Monday, October 17, 2016 will be considered registered for through Wednesday, October 19, 2016, and will not need to visit the registration table prior to participating in the Forum.

Forum participants not participating in the Nano Course series are welcome to check in early on Monday, October 17, 2016.
FORUM PROGRAM: OCTOBER 18-19, 2016
This year’s agenda features established population health equity researchers. Dr. Jeffrey Brenner will open the meeting with his keynote address, “Hot-Spotting: Using Big Data for Health Equity.” Two additional keynote sessions also are scheduled. On October 18, Dr. Kathryn Edin will share her research on “The New Poverty: Living on Less Than $2/Day in America,” and, during the day’s luncheon, will sign copies of her book. Dr. Nancy Krieger will close the Forum with a discussion about her latest research on “Health Equity and The Erroneous Temptation of Making the Causes of Health Sum to 100%: An Ecosocial Analysis.” [Dr. Kreiger has provided a list of resources related to her session, which can be downloaded here. A limited number of copies will be available onsite.]
Two panel sessions on Social Network Interventions to Address Health Equity and Housing, Neighborhoods, and Social Mobility, will round out the program.
