SHH 300: Independent Study in Eating Disorders Prevention: A Strategy Incubator
Offered in Spring 1 and 2
1.25 credits

For the spring semester, STRIPED is offering an independent study opportunity for students to generate novel, transdisciplinary strategies to prevent eating disorders and disordered weight-control behaviors. Students will work closely with Dr. Bryn Austin and Dr. Christina Roberto to develop innovative approaches for prevention that expand beyond the bounds of current thinking in the field. The product of this independent study will be a written deliverable describing a novel prevention approach that cuts across disciplines. Students must have interest in both eating disorders/disordered weight-control behaviors and prevention research. HSPH students seeking to apply to enroll in this independent study should email Dr. Austin (bryn.austin@childrens.harvard.edu) and Dr. Roberto (croberto@hsph.harvard.edu) with your resume and a one-page cover letter by Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, describing your interest and related experience.
