Office for Educational Programs

Accreditation

The Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.

“The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) is an independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and certain public health programs offered in settings other than schools of public health. These schools and programs prepare students for entry into careers in public health. The primary professional degree is the Master of Public Health (MPH) but other masters and doctoral degrees are offered as well.” 1

HSPH is scheduled to renew its accreditation by December 31, 2009. More information on the self study process will be forthcoming in the Winter 2008. For questions or information regarding the HSPH accreditation, or to review a copy of the last self study document for accreditation, contact CEPH at http://www.ceph.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3347 or Michelle Bell at mbell@hsph.harvard.edu.
