Office for Educational Programs

Teaching Support/Training Programs

The Office for Educational Programs is concerned about the process of education for both faculty and students. Consistent with the School's emphasis on active learning, the Office offers programs on teaching as a performing art, case-writing, and case teaching. In addition to these programs, which are offered periodically during the year, an educational consultant from the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning is available.

Classroom Observations and Feedback

If you would like another faculty member or educational consultant to observe one of your classes and provide feedback to you about your teaching, please contact Erin Beasley or Ellen Sarkisian to arrange a time.

Case Writing Group

The Harvard School of Public Health is committed to preparing students for leadership positions in public health practice and research. As one means to accomplish this goal, the School is developing cases to support an integrated, problem-based approach to training future public health leaders.

Faculty and staff involved in case writing meet once a month to share ideas regarding proposed cases, provide and receive feedback on draft cases, participate in training sessions and undertake other activities of mutual interests.

If you are interested in participating in the case writing group, please contact Shehnaz Alidina at salidina@hsph.harvard.edu or (617) 990-7469.
