Housing Resources

The Facility

Maintained by the Harvard School of Public Health, Shattuck House is made up of seventy apartments in three connected apartment buildings. Each of the seventy apartments are furnished and has their own kitchen and bath. Common rooms include a computer lab with printer, laundry room, study/function room, tv room, piano room, exercise room, and children's playroom. There is also an outside recreation area with a BBQ grill and children's playground. Each four-story building is equipped with an elevator. Additionally, Shattuck has 24-hour security.  For additional information about Shattuck, visit the FAQ page.

Shattuck House offers students a variety of apartment sizes and rental options to meet your housing needs. Students with families and children are encouraged to apply.  Shattuck has two different types of apartments - one and two bedroom units - and offers three rental options:

One-Bedroom One-bedroom apartments have a separate living area, kitchen, and bath. These units are suitable for one person or a couple, depending on size (300 - 600 sq.ft.)
Two-Bedroom Two-bedroom apartments have a separate living area, kitchen, and bath. These units are normally rented by families with children or shared by two unrelated students (500 - 700 sq.ft.)
Two-Bedroom Roommate Match Two-bedroom apartments (same as above) where an applicant may rent one of the bedrooms and we match you with a roommate (500 - 700 sq.ft.)

*Families with three or more children should explore other housing options, as the apartments are not adequately furnished for large families.

Shattuck International House is a non-smoking building.  Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the building including within the individual apartment units.  A designated smoking area is located in front of the building by the gate.
