| The conference is a celebration of Kathleen Schusler’s contributions to the field of occupational health. Kathleen was a graduate of the Simmons College Nurse Practitioner Program and worked as an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Manager at the Center for Occupational and Employee Health at Exeter Hospital. She was a past president of the Northeast Association of Occupational Health Nurses and the New Hampshire Association of Occupational Health Nurses. In 1997 Kathy received the Medique National Leadership Award from the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She also co-authored the text Guide to the Medical Evaluation for Respirator Use. Kathleen passed away on January 23, 2008. This conference offers education on subjects that she cared about, including respiratory protection and wellness programs for workers. Many of the speakers are friends and colleagues. We will always remember Kathy’s passion for life, positive personality and caring ways. |
