Former fellows

Since the establishment in 1983, the Takemi program has produced many working papers on a wide variety of international health issues.

The collection of working papers is presented in this section. PDF versions of the Working papers are available from this resource center.

Some of the working papers are quite large and they may take substantial time to download on a dial up internet connection.

The emergence of internet media has been very rapid and many organizations working in the international health have quickly taken to the web.

It is some times difficult to get resources on some emerging areas, like GIS. in international health.

The International health links section presents the major international players, research institutions, donor agencies and NGOs, and subject resources in a comprehensive manner.

We plan to expand the resources and appreciate your suggestions.

The Takemi Fellowship provided a rich template for expanding my intellectual scope, and has helped me to contribute to the national life of South Africa. The multi-disciplinary nature of the program brings one into contact with many related disciplines and broadens the participants horizons.
