Citing TREC support
To maintain funding and meet NIH reporting obligations, TREC must be cited in all publications that describe research that was funded in-full or in-part by TREC or supported through its core projects and resources. TREC support can be adequately cited by simply including the TREC grant number (1U54CA155626-01) in the acknowledgments section of the manuscript. In addition, reprints of all publications containing this acknowledgment should be provided to the TREC.
NIH Public Access Policy
The NIH requires that any peer-reviewed publication with results arising from direct NIH funding be deposited in PubMed Central (PMC) upon acceptance for publication. Since TREC is funded by NCI, this policy applies to any publication describing work supported by TREC through direct funding or via its core projects and resources. Manuscripts must be deposited in PMC even if the full text is available on a public website, and even if the funded principal investigator is not an author. In addition, all applications, proposals, and progress reports submitted to the NIH must include the PMC reference number (PMCID) when citing applicable papers. An overview of the NIH public access policy is available at http://publicaccess.nih.gov/
