Women and Health Initiative

Opportunities

The W&HI has many opportunities for you to get involved with our work and that of our partners.

We host events and seminars throughout the year that are free and open to the public as well as a monthly book club.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Women and Health Initiative does not currently have any open positions. Please check back often for updates.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Women and Health Initiative is delighted to engage current Harvard students, staff members, and alumni in the work of the W&HI directly.

Volunteer Internships and Practicum Placements
If you are interested in being considered for a volunteer internship or practicum placement, please consider applying to one of our open opportunities.

Research Assistants
From time to time, paid research assistant positions are available to current Harvard students. We post all research assistant positions here on our website. There are no research assistant positions available at this time.

Advising and Student Theses
At this time, the W&HI has limited capacity to advise current Harvard students on their academic work and theses; however, we are delighted to publish Harvard student theses that are relevant to the women and health agenda on our website. To submit your completed paper for consideration, please complete the Student Thesis Submission Form.

Learn More
The best way to engage with the W&HI is to participate in the events and monthly book club we hold throughout the year. To learn about current students involved in the W&HI’s projects, meet our Research Assistants and Interns.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Current HSPH students interested in exploring opportunities with our partners or working on issues related to women and health are encouraged to contact us so that we can support their application.

Prospective students interested in learning more about HSPH’s degree programs should visit the Admission’s Office. The W&HI is particularly eager to connect with those seeking to join the first class of the new Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program.

OPPORTUNITIES WITH PARTNERS

One of the Women and Health Initiative’s goals is to offer graduate students a unique opportunity to develop an interest in the field of women and health. Field experiences with our partners are an invaluable opportunity for students to learn from and contribute to high-impact efforts aimed at improving and advancing the field of women and health. For this reason, we seek to facilitate connecting students with organizations offering such experiences.
