The Nigerian AIDS Prevention Initiative is a program of collaboration, field research, and training focused on preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. The initiative has two central objectives: 1) To collaborate with Nigerian colleagues at national, state, and community levels to gain knowledge of the dynamics of the epidemic and to develop prevention strategies; and 2) To take immediate action in defined areas to implement HIV/AIDS prevention, especially in high-risk populations.
