The Harvard School of Public Health is participating in Air Pollution and Health: A European And North American Approach (APHENA). This collaboration is between four groups who have assessed the relationship between daily levels of air pollution and acute indicators, including daily mortality counts and hospitalization rates in multi-city studies. The collaboration will combine the cities from the various studies to address multiple research questions. This goal will be accomplished by initial methodological work, followed by a joint and parallel analysis of the air pollution and health data.
