The International Health Systems Program within the Department of Global Health and Population is partnering with the Government of Colombia on this project intended to provide evidence based studies and reports to support the implementation of health reform in Colombia. This project will specifically develop Clinical Practice Guides based on evidence, clinical practice, and impact evaluation of the Compulsory Health Plan and per capita payment system of the Colombian Social Security System. The three main objectives of the project are based upon international methods and according to the Colombian experience and the principals of accessibility, quality, and efficiency of the Colombian Social Security System. These objects are to develop a guide for the development, adoption, revision, and evaluation of the Clinical Practice Guides; create a methodological guide to conduct and report economic evaluations of the Clinical Practice Guides in the Colombian context; and to develop technical guidelines for studies on the impact in the per capita payment system if the coverage changes.
