Description:

This initiative has worked to create the personnel and laboratory infrastructure to conduct HIV studies important to the public health of Botswana. The Reference Laboratory hopes to demonstrate that appropriate antiviral regimens can be both effectively and safely administered and monitored over time, including clinical outcomes, viral loads, and CD4 counts of individuals infected with HIV-1C in Botswana.
