The five-year evaluation is implemented under the guidance of the Technical Evaluation Reference Group (TERG) of the Global Fund at the request of the Global Fund Board. Study Area 3 is the largest portion of this evaluation and seeks to answer what is the Global Fund’s contribution to reducing the burden of the three diseases, and what has been the overall reduction on the burden of the three diseases? The evaluation will be country-driven and will involve key partners and stakeholders in every phase of implementation. Furthermore it is committed to strengthening local systems so that sustainable and reliable mechanisms will serve global reporting needs in the future and in countries beyond those participating in the current evaluation.
