Description:

This project will establish a Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at two Clinical Research Sites (CRS) in Tanzania, Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS) in Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro Christian Medial Center (KCMC) in Moshi. At MUCHS this program will contribute to the agenda of the IMPAACT Network and to the Vaccines priority area. At KCMC, this project will contribute to the Microbicides Trial Network (MTN). The overall goal of the CTU is to contribute to the scientific development of research priorities within the networks and advance research and practice related to HIV/AIDS through the analyses and publication of data generated from these studies.
