This Program is implementing a project that seeks to promote the inclusion of human rights standards and principles in UNFPA’s development agenda at the country level, and influence advocacy and policy as well as programming initiatives, in all phases of the programming process. Its specific objectives are: to improve the capacities of UNFPA staff and partners at regional, Country Office, and field level to adopt a rights based approach to programming; and to make available practical tools for use by Country Offices and their partners in designing and implementing rights based approaches.
