Description:

This work will look at whether the use of electronic protocols at the point of care can improve the ability of patients to understand and correctly follow treatments prescribed for them in outpatient clinics in Tanzania. It builds on current research by the PI that has feveloped and is testing electronic protocols to improve provider adherence to use of IMCI child health protocols. The overall question is: Does the use of m-health technology at the point of care improve the patience adherence to the afcive given in the IMCI protocols? A secondary research goal will be to investigate whether improved adherence by the patient/caregiver to te recommendations leads to an improvement in health outcomes.
