Research

Zhongwei began her academic career as an economic mathematics teacher in Yantai University, having taken degree in applied mathematical and computer science from Ocean University of China. But deep in her heart and mind, she is full of curiosity of life. After the pre-doctoral training of bioinformatics at Academy of Military Medical Sciences, she became interested in communicable disease ecology (epidemiology) on a Ph.D at Military Medical Sciences, China CDC and Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication. She has carried out research on TB, HIV/AIDS, drug abuse and science decision making under the joint supervision of interdisciplinary international mentorship. Now, she brings her research closer to public health, the goal of which is to provide better evidence in support of the policy and practice of infectious diseases.
