Research interests

  • Psychosocial epidemiology: understand how positive and negative aspects of psychological functioning influence age-related chronic illnesses (e.g., cardiometabolic diseases) and the maintenance of optimal physical health through modifiable biological and behavioral factors.
  • Health psychology: psychological adjustment to chronic conditions (e.g. cancer).

Clinical work

Dr. Guimond is a licensed psychologist (Ordre des Psychologues du Québec, Canada) with expertise in health psychology, anxiety, mood, and sleep disorders (cognitive behavioral therapy).
