The King Abdulaziz University MPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology saw its first cohort graduate this year. Several of our students submitted their theses for publication, with the guidance of our dedicated mentors, Jim Ware, Julie Buring, Fran Cook, and Jen Stuart. The second cohort entered the program this past Spring, and they are just now wrapping up their second semester of study. We anticipate they will graduate in January 2017.
We were also fortunate enough to welcome several new faculty members to our team, including Doug Dockery, Mary Kay Fawzi, Adam Wright, and David Wypij. Julie Buring returned to Jeddah in November, and despite a rare occurrence in Saudi Arabia – torrential rain! – she very much enjoyed meeting the students in person.
