This year’s recipient of the Marvin Zelen Leadership Award in Statistical Science was Nan Laird, Professor of Biostatistics and Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of Public Health. Nan received this prestigious award in May for her outstanding leadership and inspiring role in impacting the theory and practice of statistical science; and for her contribution to the creation of an environment in which statistical science and its applications have flourished.
This annual award, supported by colleagues, friends and family, was established to honor Dr. Marvin Zelen’s long and distinguished career as a statistician and his major role in shaping the field of biostatistics.
