The Department named Debashis Ghosh, Professor and Chair of the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health, the 2015 Myrto Lefkopoulou Distinguished Lecturer. Dr. Ghosh presented a lecture in September on “Kernel Machines: Back to the Future”. The Lefkopoulou award is given each year to a promising young statistician who has made major contributions to either collaborative or methodologic research in the applications of statistical methods to biology or medicine.
