Boehringer Ingelheim Funds New Fellowships

The Department has recently received a $100K grant from Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, to fund two new student fellowships in biostatistics. PhD students receiving these scholarships will be co-mentored by Biostatistics faculty members at Harvard and quantitative/clinical scientists from Boehringer-Ingelheim. This invaluable opportunity will allow students to conduct research motivated by real-world problems and receive personalized guidance and mentoring. The Department is very grateful for the leadership of Drs. Wei Zhang, Claude Petit and Dacheng Liu, and Professors Tianxi Cai and LJ Wei, who have facilitated these scholarships to help chart a course for our students to become future leaders in biostatistics.
